If the link does not open

The same URL can fail in a few ways. None of them require you to install Gander.

You are asked to sign in. The author made the doc private. If you already have an account on the team, sign in. If you do not, ask the author for an invite and open that instead.

You are signed in and still cannot read it. You are not on the author's team. Ask them to invite you.

The page says the share is gone, or you get a 404. The author removed it, or they hid the URL. Hidden links 404 for everyone, including people who had them bookmarked.

If none of that matches what you see, ask the author whether they sent the right link.
